Tom Boehm was my classmate beginning in Elmer Avenue elementary school.  My fondest memory was the time he invited me to stay for dinner.  "My grandmother's making pizza," he said.  I didn't know what that was.  It was the first one I ever had.  I remember that he said his grandmother was born in Italy.  According to census records that would be his maternal grandmother, Concetta Lomini (maiden name Pagliarella).  No wonder the pizza was so good.  Concetta was born in 1894, came to America in 1915, and died in December 1954.  I must have been three years old when she made the pizza, but what a vivid memory.
