Caruso, Patrick SCHENECTADY Patrick Caruso, 57, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. Patrick was born in Schenectady on March 12, 1951, the son of Eleanor Pirro Caruso and the late Thomas Caruso. He graduated from the former Linton High School. Patrick attended Siena College, earning a BS in accounting and graduated in the class of 1974. He worked at KAPL in Niskayuna for the past 37 years. Patrick was an avid sports enthusiast, he was a devoted Siena basketball fan, he enjoyed Union College basketball and hockey and the NY Yankees. Patrick remained especially faithful and charitable to his alma mater, Siena College. Survivors include his beloved mother and best friend, Eleanor Pirro Caruso; loving sister, Carmen Burton of Schenectady and her companion Randal Norris; adoring nephews, Justin Nichols and his wife Andrea of Latham, Thomas Nichols Sr. and his wife Andrea of Melrose and Martin Burton Jr. of Schenectady; great-niece and nephew, Jayde Nichols and Thomas Nichols Jr.; aunts, Margaret Puccetti of Schenectady and Gloria Weber of Canoga Park, Calif.; numerous caring cousins and friends. Services will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, and then to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Rosa Road, where a Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, this evening from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Patrick's memory to Siena College, Athletic Department, 515 Loudon Road, Loudonville, NY 12211.
