Tom Dellario, who later in life spelled his name Dellaira, died in 2019 after a three-year struggle with a sudden illness. He was the son of Angelo Philip Dellario (born 12 May 1919, Caltanisetta, Sicily, died 16 November 2002, Albuquerque, New Mexico) and Julia Bettini (born c. 1920, Schenectady, New York, died 1 February 2012, Albuquerque, New Mexico). Tom is survived by his wife Jamie Welles, his daughters Ava and Laura, his brother Michael Dellaira, his sister-in-law Brenda Wineapple, and at least one grandchild, Gia, daughter of Ava and Doug. I am sorry I cannot be more definitive, but I find no actual obituary for Tom, so had to cobble it together from the sources listed below, a findagrave posting for his father, and a gofundme page for Tom to which Roni Bylina graciously referred me. I could not bear to leave this page blank. Tom was a friend in high school, and one of the people I was eager to see at the reunion, but it was not meant to be. Writing these postings is one of the most emotional things I have ever had to do. I might have written this one sooner, but I did not know he had changed the spelling of his name.
Dickie, you are doing a wonderful honor to our departed friends, and service to those of us who remember them. Writing obituries and memorials is sacred work. Thank you for doing it for so many of our classmates.
