DiCocco, Michael BALLSTON LAKE Michael DiCocco, 67, passed away, May 3, 2018, peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Michael was born in Schenectady on March 10, 1951. He was a graduate of Linton High School, class of 1969. He served in the Air National Guard 1969-1975. He was a manager at Freihofer's, State Line Snacks and retired in 2016 from Coca-Cola after 20 years as a supervisor. Michael met his princess Diane, in 1968 and they recently celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary. When Mike wasn't manicuring his lawn, riding his motorcycles with his best friend Bob Antonelli, or son Mark, he was screaming at the Yankees, grabbing Mike's hot dogs with his cousin Steve Tata or he was at Broadway Chopper with Lee Sikes building his custom bike. Mike enjoyed his summer evenings relaxing on his back deck, reminiscing upon their concert outings with Brother Bob and Sandy. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Diane (Wagoner), sons; Timothy (Kelly O'Meara) and Mark (Bernadette McBride); five grandchildren whom he adored and were the apple of his eye: his granddaughters, "the doodlebugs," Lauren DiCocco, Abby DiCocco and Ainsley DiCocco and his two grandsons, Anthony DiCocco and Gavin DiCocco. Mike was not only a traditional proud grandfather and poppy that spoiled his grandchildren with ice cream runs, frozen cokes, oreo cookies and Friday night pizzas. He taught them many lessons in life, but the most important was his unconditional love for them. He is also survived by his mother, Clementina (Popolizio) DiCocco; brother Robert P. DiCocco (Sandy) and their children, Robert (Seiko) DiCocco, Theresa DiCocco and Michael (Ashley) DiCocco; cousins, Stephen (Barbara) Tata and son Nicholas and John (Catherine) Tata; many beloved nieces and nephews and his very best friend Robert (Robin) Antonelli. He was predeceased by his father, Pasquale DiCocco; and his adored goddaughter Melissa Tata. Calling hours will be Friday, May 11, from 9 -11 a.m. in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park. A memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. A celebration of life reception will immediately follow the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend time with your loved ones, turn your radio up and check your tire pressure. The family would also like to thank Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Community Hospice of Saratoga County and their daughter-in-law, Bernadette DiCocco for her assistance in the coordination of his care during his illness. Any donations may be made in Michael's name to Community Hospice Saratoga 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY, 12866. Happy - Grateful - No Regrets Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home 150 Route 9 Clifton Park.
