Obituary for Daniel Albert Pisano

On Wednesday, January 19, 2022, Daniel Albert Pisano left this world to be with our
Lord and Savior. After almost two months of fighting for his life, Dan suffered a severe
brain hemorrhage and died peacefully in Jacksonville, FL surrounded by his beloved
wife, Claudia, son, Christopher and daughter-in-law, Lauren.

Dan (Daniel) is survived by his adored wife of 51 years, Claudia; their
children, Christopher Pisano, his wife, Lauren and their two sons, Baylor and Lawson of
Ponte Vedra, FL, and Bryan Pisano and his wife, Sandy of Richmond, VA; his brother,
Andrew Pisano, nephews, Jimmy Pisano, Jeffery Pisano and wife, Shelley and their
children, Ryan, Ellie and Paige and niece, Debra Lewis and husband, VJ and their
daughter, Sophie, all of MD; and his sister-in-law, Lois Pisano and nephew, Greg
Pisano and wife, Laura and their children, Rob, Zachary and Alexia, all of CA. He was
preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Connie Pisano, sister Elaine Pisano and
brother, Jerry Pisano.

Dan was born on February 19, 1951, in Schenectady, New York. He began dating the
love of his life, Claudia one month before graduating from Linton High School in 1969.
On August 2, 1970, they made it official and married in Schenectady. They welcomed
sons, Bryan in 1971 and Christopher in 1978. For the past 20 years, Dan ran his own
business as an ACT! certified consultant.

In 1979, they moved to Charlotte where Dan and Claudia spent 41 years raising their
sons, running several businesses, and being deeply involved in their church. Dan loved
his family, and his dream of becoming a grandfather came true in 2012 when his first
grandson, Baylor was born. Lawson followed in 2016 and through them, Dan got to re-
live his childhood and experience a whole new love. Dan and Claudia recently moved
to Jacksonville, FL to build their dream home and live out their ‘second act’ alongside
Chris, Lauren, Baylor, and Lawson. He was an incredible role model and “Grandpa”
and his legacy and love for life will continue-on in the lives of his grandsons.

Dan loved the Lord and served in various leadership positions at their church, Christ
Covenant Presbyterian in Matthews, NC. Members for over 25 years, Dan and Claudia
took great pride in their church family and leaving them to move to FL was bittersweet.
Dan was a true Italian, who embodied the meaning of his namesake “Pisano”. His
perfect evening involved spending time with his love, her home-made pasta, red wine,
an occasional cigar and being around friends and family. He also loved playing games,
riding bikes, vacationing at the beach, and getting more in touch with his inner 5- and 9-year-old self.

A visitation for Dan is scheduled for February 11th from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at the Heritage Funeral Home (4431 Old Monroe Rd, Indian Trail, NC 28079). His celebration of life will take place on February 12 th at 10:30am at Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church (800 Fullwood Ln, Matthews, NC 28015). It will be immediately followed by a graveside burial ceremony at Forest Lawn East Cemetery (3700 Forest Lawn Dr., Matthews, NC 28104).

There are no words to express how deeply saddened we are of Dannys passing. A combination of unfortunate circumstances, and how it took his life is just heartbreaking. A love of God and a belief that Danny has gone home, I pray will offer some condolences to all his loved ones. Lets all say a prayer for Claudia and family during this difficult time. Carol [Fluty] and Gary DeLuca.
