Joseph Maddaloni

Joseph A. Maddaloni, 70, passed away on Wednesday, May 12th at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady after a long illness. Born and educated in Schenectady, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (DeLorenzo) Maddaloni and a 1969 graduate of Linton High School. A United States Army Veteran, Joe went on to receive an associate's degree in Refrigeration Technology from Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY. Joe worked as a Return Specialist for Transworld Entertainment for many years, enjoyed maintaining his father's apartments, and also loved gardening and cooking. Joe was a lifelong member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Schenectady, NY. Joseph is survived by his siblings, Joanne Halloran (David) of Lake Mary, Fl., Marilyn Taber (David) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Deborah Struffolino (John) of Rotterdam, Richard Maddaloni of Mechanicville, Rosemary Shaver (David) of Delmar and many nieces, great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his longtime girlfriend, Sharon Jozwiak of Schenectady, who tirelessly dedicated her time to care for Joe through his illness. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady from 9 to 10:15 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Schenectady NY. Interment will be at St. Cyril's Cemetery in Rotterdam, NY.
